Where is everybody?

Checking in thinking that I must have missed some posts. Nope! So then, what is every doing?

My Miss Cleo has been on the back burner for about a week. She is slowly getting her coat done as I am now working on area GG. Here is a photo.
Isn't she pretty? and boy is she getting a personality. Her eyes follow me as I walk past her as if to say, "Come on now Shirley, let's get my coat finished." Unfortunately she is going to have wait even more as I am heading for Mexico tomorrow for a month. She is simply too big to take with me so ....

Would love to see how everyone is coming along and the various colors that are going to show up. After I finish Miss Cleo, I will be doing Miss C (C for Christmas) in reds and greens with gold kreinik. Now that will be different.

Anyone know where I can get real miniature Christmas lights, battery operated? I want to wind her up in them.

Have fun. And hope those of you on the East Coast are doing well. Our prayers go with you.

Registration Update

I was recently notified that we will be doing the registration for this BEE in January 2012. I wanted you to know so you could plan ahead. Hopefully everyone has been gathering their fibers and their canvas for this project so you are ready to start as soon as you get your books.  Look for a post showing and explaining how to do the first stitch next week. It is a simple stitch but if you have never done a smyrna cross before you might want to practice so you get your coverage and tension consistent. You will also want to get used to working with the wool fiber if you have not used wool before.

Whether you celebrate Christmas or not I wish you all the joy of the season and may this joy fill your heart and home throughout the coming year.

This year New York’s finest Christmas landmark is going green in the spirit of the Christmas season. For the first time in its history, the Rockefeller Center Christmas tree, will be getting a new set of energy efficient LED Christmas lights that will be fully powered by solar panels.
